Carly Rae Jepsen – Day and Night
Yet another singer, songwriter, and actress, though this time from Mission, Canada, Carly Rae Jepsen has published her debut double album Day and Night. It features a harmonious blend of 24 songs, divided across two discs: the Day and the Night sections. The performer expresses the joys of new romance and the charms of family life. Notably, last year she married the American musician and record producer Cole M.G.N and gave birth to their son, Ilya, earlier this year.
The Day part emphasises folk and 1970s music, whilst the Night version focuses on synth-pop and club music. Jepsen herself also contributed to the songwriting.

Bella Poarch – Picnic at the Cemetery
Bella Poarch (Belinda Marie Macadengdeng Batumbakal / Denarie Bautista Taylor) is a Filipino-American singer, songwriter, and social media personality. Born in San Fabian, her style is characterised primarily by lyrical and profound lyrics, including throughout her 12-track debut studio album, Picnic at the Cemetery. There, the singer explores her own struggles with childhood trauma, depression, and healing. Also, the work references the Filipino tradition of All Saints’ Day, when families gather at gravesides to honour the memory of their loved ones, as it was during such moments that she felt safe, away from her abusive adoptive parents.
Having written it, Poarch co-produced the compilation as well. Speaking of its genre, it can be considered a fusion of dark pop and alternative pop.

J-pop has long held a prominent place in the global music scene, and the success of the local boy band ONE OR EIGHT has only served to confirm this. Comprised of MIZUKI, NEO, REIA, RYOTA, SOUMA, TAKERU, TSUBASA, and YUGA, the group tackles important topics through the lens of Tokyo street style and a dynamic sound. Their recently released EN-GÏNE, with a total of six compositions, embodies the concept of movement and identity, focusing on hip-hop, pop rap, and powerful electronic beats.

This time, the news comes from Kenya, specifically from the Mombasa-born performer tg.blk (Nyathigi Gatere). In her new six-track work Besides You, which unites alternative hip-hop, R&B, and neo soul, the singer and rapper tells about the extent to which a person can yield to desire without losing their sense of self, citing the theme of relationships as an example. It is reported that it marks the start of her upcoming trilogy.

Just Penelope – Great Lake
Having been assembled in 2025, an American quartet from Bloomington named Just Penelope is another act that released new music. It consists of Ella Curiel, Ethan Cantrell, Drew Goforth, and Theo Erz. Their debut EP Great Lake, with its emotional indie-rock sound, revolves around the carefree world of youth and the fleeting nature of teenage experiences.

Maluma & Shakira – «AGUA»
The much-loved Columbian duo of Maluma (Juan Luis Londoño Arias) from Medellín and Shakira (Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll) from Barranquilla are back with AGUA, meaning water. It is a sensual, infectious track with tropical elements, such as Caribbean-rooted percussion and merengue rhythms, that describes an intense physical desire between two people. As the singers, who co-wrote their joint work, state, one must live in the moment and be content with it.

ROSÉ – «new trick»
Originally from Auckland in New Zealand, ROSÉ (Park Chae-young / Roseanne Park) is no stranger to the music industry, having been a member of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK since its official debut in 2016. Earlier this month, it was announced that she would be collaborating with Apple to promote the iPhone 18 Pro, which led to the creation of the song new trick. This energetic pop-punk composition encourages its listeners to get over a break-up with humour, not to focus on it, and to find a new inner resilience, thereby entering a new era of independence.
ROSÉ plans to release her sophomore album next year.

REI AMI – «2LOUD»
The Korean-American Seoul performer REI AMI (Sarah Ye-eun Lee), known for providing the singing voice for the character Zoey in the 2025 musical film K-Pop Demon Hunters, has recently released a new work called 2LOUD. A funky pop track co-written by the artist herself, it is an anthem of self-affirmation and overcoming external pressure. According to her, the song is based on her personal experience of being told how to behave.
Having stated that only the finishing touches remain, REI AMI is currently preparing her new full-length album.

Soccer Mommy – «Rings Of Saturn»
Created in Nashville in 2015, the indie rock project Soccer Mommy is the brainchild of the singer and songwriter Sophie Regina Allison, who was born in Zurich, Switzerland. Performing regularly with her backing band consisting of Julian Powell, Rodrigo Avendano, Nickolas Widener, and Rollum Haas, she draws inspiration from 1990s alternative rock and 2000s pop music, and her song Rings Of Saturn, created entirely by her during a difficult period, is no exception. The composition is an emotional story of seeking perspective from feelings of insignificance, combining powerful guitar riffs with alternative moments.

Alexandra Căpitănescu – «CMYM»
Romania’s national star Alexandra Căpitănescu (Alexandra Maria Căpitănescu) from the city of Galați has become a real sensation of the year after coming third at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria. In her new rock song CMYM, which stands for “Can’t Make You Mine,” the performer tells about unrequited love and emotional tension between two people, set to dark electric guitar riffs and elements of nu metal. Incidentally, she herself was involved in writing the track.
As previously reported, Căpitănescu and her band will release their debut album later this year.

Sudden Lights – «talk to me»
A Latvian band formed in Riga back in 2012, Sudden Lights are also known for their appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest three years earlier in Liverpool, the United Kingdom. They have delighted their fans with their recently published composition talk to me, which is written by the group’s members Andrejs Reinis Zitmanis, Kārlis Matīss Zitmanis, Mārtiņš Matīss Zemītis, and Kārlis Vārtiņš. It explores an actual issue in today’s digital world, where a longing for genuine communication has transformed into an everyday occurrence. This indie song, blended with synth-pop, strongly condemns the artificiality of interaction.
A new EP by Sudden Lights is set to be revealed next year, which is officially confirmed.
